As part of its ongoing efforts to connect the international and the national, and in particular its projects on tracking implementation and impact URG has gathered a rich array of good practices for how UN Country Teams and civil society organisations can best support States, especially developing countries, implement the recommendations they receive from the UPR, Treaty Bodies and Special Procedures.
URG works with UN agencies and civil society organisations in capacity-building and guidance on how to best leverage all the recommendations received by States to drive change, with a particular focus on women’s and girl’s rights recommendations, including those focused on their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). This will help support the further integration of human rights across the UN development system (as per the Secretary-General’s reform agenda), the international human rights implementation agenda, and the realisation of the Secretary-General’s ‘Call to Action’ on human rights and his ‘Our Common Agenda.’
