Olivia Bebe works as a Senior Analyst at the Universal Rights Group Secretariat in Geneva and at the URG NYC office. During her time at the Universal Rights Group, she has managed a project addressing the benefits of, and challenges to, ratification and implementation of the UN Convention against Torture for SIDS and LDCs, with a particular focus on the Pacific and the Caribbean region.
She is currently working on a number of projects related to the domestic implementation of international human rights norms; item 10 reform and the delivery of capacity-building and technical support; human rights and the SDGs; corruption and human rights; prevention; combatting violent extremism; and the relationship between the Human Rights Council and the Security Council. Moreover, she manages several of the URG tools, including the Inside Track pre-HRC session primers, the End of Council session reports, the UN Human Rights Resolutions Portal, the HRC Voting Portal, and is developing new tools for URG NYC focused on the Third Committee of the General Assembly, the Security Council, and the UN General Assembly.
Olivia holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Leiden University, The Netherlands, and a Bachelors Degree in International Politics from Aberystwyth University, Wales.
