URG NYC Office – Vacancy

This internship aims to give the successful applicant the opportunity to conduct substantive research on international human rights issues, to become more familiar with the current debates in the field of human rights and the intricacies of the UN system, and to publish blogs as part of the URG insights series. The URG NYC intern will also gain skills and experience in substantive research, writing, grants, administrative support, event logistics, communications, social media, and monitoring of events and UN Committees. The internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of international human rights knowledge, research, and counsel.

Due to COVID-19, this internship will take place primarily remotely (if the intern is already based in NYC or the surrounding area, it may be possible to include some in-person activity but only in compliance with existing public health measures and regulations at the City University in New York where the URG NYC office is based and following agreement between the supervisor and intern). The Internship will be 4 days per week, from May 3 2021 – August 31 2021. The exact start date and end date can be flexible.
