Pre-Glion V Policy Dialogue with the Permanent Mission of Mexico on ‘the place of human rights in a reformed United Nations’

Ahead of Glion V, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘the place of human rights in a reformed United Nations’.

On Tuesday 24th April 2018, the Permanent Mission of Mexico and the URG hosted a Policy Dialogue on ‘Reform of the UN’s human rights architecture’. The event brought together around 40 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues including, ‘the 2021 Review’, and ‘human rights financing – promoting equality between the UN’s three pillars, and thereby supporting peace and sustainable development’.

The agenda of the meeting can be consulted here.

The background paper of the policy dialogue can be found here.
