Pre-Glion VIII policy dialogue with the Permanent Missions of Fiji and the Marshall Islands on ‘The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: what does it mean for States, for rights-holders and for nature?’
Ahead of Glion VIII, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: what does it mean for States, for rights-holders and for nature?’
On Tuesday 26th April 2022, the Permanent Missions of the Republic of Fiji and the Republic of Marshall Islands, and the URG will host a digital Policy Dialogue on ‘What has the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment meant where it is already recognised, at national and/or regional levels?’ The event will bring together around 40 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues.
The agenda of the meeting will be made available here.
The background paper of the policy dialogue will be made available here.
