Pre-Glion VI policy dialogue with the Permanent Mission of Thailand on ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’

Ahead of Glion VI, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’.

On Wednesday 8th May 2019, the Permanent Mission of Thailand and the URG will host a Policy Dialogue on ‘Implementation and follow-up by the international human rights system. The event will bring together around 60 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues including, ‘follow-up to Special Procedures’ recommendations’, and ‘follow-up to human rights recommendations by UN Country Teams’.
