Pre-Glion VI policy dialogue with the Permanent Mission of Mexico on ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’

Ahead of Glion VI, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’.

On Thursday 11th April 2019, the Permanent Mission of Mexico and the URG will host a Policy Dialogue on ‘New and emerging human rights issues’. The event will bring together around 40 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues including, ‘human rights and climate change’, and ‘new forms and mechanisms of accountability for human rights violations and abuses’.
