Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda: leaving no one behind while accelerating SDG implementation

Universal Rights Group alongside a wide array of partners have organized a HLPF side event on “Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda: Leaving no one behind while accelerating SDG implementation” for 12 July, starting at 1:15, in Conference Room 1.
Keynote remarks at the event will be delivered by H.E. Inga Rhonda King, President of the Economic and Social Council.
The discussion will be based on the outcomes of the UN Human Rights Council Intersessional meeting on human rights and the 2030 Agenda, which documented numerous contributions of human rights practitioners and mechanisms to national SDG implementation, as well as challenges and opportunities related to speeding up SDG implementation. The side event will serve to continue the discussion initiated in Geneva and share experiences on practical ways in which human rights and SDGs are mutually reinforcing.
More information on speakers to follow soon.
