Building Forward Better: Reaffirming the Sustainable Recovery Pledge and taking stock of commitments

The event will take place on the margins of the upcoming Fourth Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Human Rights Council on Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The event is co-organised by the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the Permanent Mission of Denmark to the UN in Geneva and the Universal Rights Group.
During the event, State and non-state actors will take stock of the developments, good practices and lessons learned since the launch of the Sustainable Recovery Pledge in June 2021. The event will include panel discussions on:
  • Universal health coverage and vaccine equity,
  • Participatory governance practices and service delivery mechanisms that reduce inequality and
  • A green and just recovery.

The Sustainable Recovery Pledge has been signed by 49 states and supported by 27 organizations, together representing a diverse range of actors (find the pledge, signatories and supporters here).

The event will have interpretation to Spanish and French.
