Pre-Glion VIII policy dialogue with the Permanent Mission of Thailand on ‘The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: what does it mean for States, for rights-holders and for nature?’
Ahead of Glion VIII, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘The right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment: what does it mean for States, for rights-holders and for nature?’
On Wednesday 27th April 2022, the Permanent Mission of Thailand and the URG will host a digital Policy Dialogue on ‘What does UN recognition of the right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, mean for different stakeholders? What approaches might be taken at international and national levels following UN recognition?’ The event will bring together around 35 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues.
The agenda of the meeting will be made available here.
The background paper of the policy dialogue will be made available here.
