Ahead of Glion V, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘the place of human rights in a reformed United Nations’.

The event will bring together around 40 senior level human rights experts to exchange views on a number of issues including, ‘the place of human rights in the Secretary-General’s current reform proposals covering UN management, the development system, and the UN’s peace and security architecture’, ‘the implications for human rights of these reforms’ and ‘how a stronger focus on human rights can contribute to supporting the achievement of the Secretary-General’s reform objectives’.
