Pre-Glion VI policy dialogue with the Permanent Mission of Iceland on ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’

Ahead of Glion VI, the Universal Rights Group (URG), with a number of supportive State delegations in Geneva and New York, will organise a series of informal policy dialogues, designed to allow early consideration and exchange on different aspects of ‘Towards 2026: Perspectives on the future of the Human Rights Council’.

On Thursday May 9th 2019 the Permanent Mission of Iceland and Universal Rights Group NYC will host a policy dialogue on ‘New York perspectives on the General Assembly’s 2021- 2026 review of the Human Rights Council’s status’. The event will bring together a number of representatives from Permanent Missions to the UN to exchange views on a number of issues, including previous reviews of the Council, and looking forward to the GA’s review of the Council’s status and possible useful Council contributions.
