Oslo+digital meeting on how a human rights based approach to development can ensure that we build back better

On 9 and 10 June the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and The Netherlands, in cooperation with the Universal Rights Group (URG) will organise an informal meeting of development partners on ‘how a human rights based approach to development can ensure that we build back better.’

This will be the first digital meeting of the Oslo+ platform. Two previous meetings of the platform took place in Oslo, Norway, in April 2018, and Stockholm, Sweden, in May 2019.

The digital Oslo+ meeting will explore how bilateral and multilateral development actors are trying to support their development partners in building back better. It will provide an opportunity for development and human rights practitioners to exchange on actions being taken and strategies being developed for a post-COVID world, and how existing human rights standards and their compliance and implementation mechanisms can support donors and recipients in creating more sustainable outcomes that lead to a more inclusive, equitable and resilient normal.

The concept note and programme of the meeting is available here.
