yourHRC.org Launch, New York

On 12th October 2015, the Permanent Mission of Norway, in partnership with the Universal Rights Group (URG), will hold an event in New York to mark the launch of yourHRC.org, an innovative new online tool designed to contribute to international efforts to strengthen the visibility, relevance and impact of the UN’s human rights pillar.

The yourHRC.org online portal and a number of related publications are designed to provide easily-accessible country-specific information on, inter alia: cooperation with the UN Human Rights Council and its mechanisms, participation in Council debates and exchanges, member state voting patterns, fulfilment of voluntary pledges, and political leadership.

The 12th October event will also see the New York launch of the yourHRC.org ‘Guide to the 2015 Human Rights Council Elections.’

yourHRC.org is a joint project of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Universal Rights Group.
